Sagar received his undergraduate law degree from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad in 2003. After a year's work as a legal assistant at a firm based in Hyderabad, he moved to the Netherlands to pursue his LL.M in Air and Space Law at Leiden University, where he received Huygens Scholarship from the Dutch Government. Upon graduation with a distinction (Cum Laude)from Leiden in 2005, he joined the Contracts team at AerCap Aviation Solutions, an aircraft leasing company based in the Netherlands. After couple of year's experience in the dynamic world of aircraft leasing, Sagar had the opportunity to widen his scope of knowledge in other areas of transport law by joining TNT Express, an express company, which is headquartered in the Netherlands. In 2010, he was appointed as Manager of the Legal dept., at TNT Airways S.A., based in Belgium, an entity part of the TNT Group. Currently, he is back in the Netherlands and holds the position of Manager, Legal and Regulatory Affairs for Europe in the Global Customs and Security dept., of TNT. Sagar is qualified to practice law in England and India.

Recently, Sagar published a compilation where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the book, 'Contemporary Issues and Future Challenges in Air and Space Law’, published by airandspacebooks.info. Sagar is a Guest Lecture at International Institute of Air and Space Law, Leiden University, where he lectures' LL.M students on the legal issues pertaining to Multi modal Transport and Aircraft Leasing. Similarly, he is also associated with Nalsar University of Law, Hyderabad, as Guest Lecturer in their Post Graduate Diploma in Air Law and Air Transport Management.
